Brand Like a Woman grew out of a simple observation.

After years of working with women-led businesses, I kept noticing the same pattern. The ideas were strong. The ambition was there. The work itself was good. What was often missing was structure that made everything easier to hold and easier to repeat.

At the same time, I was working with well-funded, fast-growing tech companies where clarity, systems, and repeatable thinking were non-negotiable. Those businesses were not relying on confidence or motivation to succeed. They were supported by structure that allowed good work to compound.

I couldn’t ignore the contrast.

I kept asking why the same principles that supported scale, consistency, and calm decision-making in large organisations were rarely translated for women building smaller, independent businesses. Not because they were less capable, but because the advice was not designed with their reality in mind.

That gap is what Brand Like a Woman exists to fill.

Brand Like a Woman is a digital resource platform designed to help women build clear, consistent brands through practical systems and foundations. It brings together guides, collections, and memberships that support how real businesses actually run, not how they are supposed to look online.

This work recognises that structure and mindset are not separate. How you think, decide, and show up is shaped by the systems around you. Throughout the platform, practical tools are paired with reflective work that helps you build confidence from the inside out, without relying on constant effort or self-correction.

A note from me

I’m Dawn Jackson, the founder of Brand Like a Woman. I’ve always been drawn to women and business, and to the spaces where the two intersect in real life.

Over the years, that has shown up in different ways, from running women-supporting businesses and championing female founders, to building a hypnobirthing business while on maternity leave, to working in PR and marketing across start-ups, agencies, and global tech companies.

Throughout all of it, the pattern has been the same: women are capable, intuitive, and deeply resourceful, yet they are often building within systems that were never designed for them. Brand Like a Woman is the result of that long-held understanding. It brings together the structure I’ve seen make businesses work at scale with a deep respect for the realities of women’s lives, so success can feel clearer, steadier, and genuinely sustainable.
